DOLLS

CLOTHING

The World of Love Dolls were produced in the 1970s by the Hasbro company. They were loosely based on a Cosmetic manufacturers London Look advertising promotion of the time. The dolls were also produced in Europe under the name of Miss Matchbox Disco Girls.  A special thank you to Jenny E. for sending some info to correct some errors and to add info that was lacking.

Here are the dolls from Hasbro's The World of Love:

LOVE

Love is wearing her original outfit.

Flower

Flower is wearing her original outfit, but is missing her big floppy pink felt hat and pink glasses.

Peace

Peace is not wearing her original outfit, but she is wearing a World of Love tagged outfit. The outfit is Love Jumper, which also appeared in Europe for the British version of the World of Love dolls called Miss Matchbox Disco Girls. The outfit is called Pop Pinny in Europe. To see her with the hat on, check the pictures of the group at the top and bottom of this page.

Here the NRFB outfit shows the name as Pop Pinny.

Soul

Soul is not wearing her original outfit, but she is wearing a World of Love tagged outfit.  The outfit is from #4438 Clothing Assortment, as shown in the 1973 Hasbro Wholesale catalog.  It is called Flower Pretty.

Music

Music is not wearing her original outfit, but she is wearing a World of Love tagged outfit, which is shown in the 1973 World of Love Catalogue.  She is wearing the dress only to her #4422 Deluxe Music. Unfortunately Music is suffering from a common problem with these dolls. Her knee joint is showing some blue stains.

Adam

Adam is not wearing his original outfit as seen in the MIB pic on the right. The outfit he is wearing is not an original World of Love outfit. Adam is the only male member of the world of love. He was named for the son of one of the doll designers.
