ELLOWYNE WILDE

My therapist, Dr. Bantam, says I suffer from chronic ennui, with just a touch of melancholy – but I guess I’m just too tired to figure it all out. I’m supposed to write down my thoughts and feelings - but really, it's not that I'm not happy, or even sad - just kind of bored.

Dr. Bantam thinks I should go out more with my friends, and she may have a point. Pru always makes me smile, and I love hearing Lizette tell stories about New Orleans. Amber - well, not so much, but I guess I'll trust Dr. B on this one. We all went shopping recently and actually had a good time. San Francisco is filled with the most amazing thrift shops - I hope you like our new looks.

Ellowyne's birthday is October 31.

PRUDENCE MOODY

Born on the same day as her best friend, Ellowyne Wilde, and both under their own strange circumstances, Prudence is definitely the doll with an upbeat mood - and the bright spot in Ellowyne's sometimes woeful life.

With her undeveloped psychic sense, and her own unique fashion style, it's no wonder she and Ellowyne are best friends!

Prudence loves to line dance, and frequently gets Ellowyne to join her - seriously!  She also likes Zumba, and carnivals, ecclectic coffee shops - and pretty much everything she does turns out, well, fun. Even Ellowyne tends to smile more when she's around Prudence.  And even though Pru doesn't have much patience for all of  Ellowyne's ennui, there's nothing she wouldn't do for her best friend - and after all, isn't that what best friends are for?

RUFUS RUTTER

A friend of Ellowyne’s since seventh grade, where they met at Briermier Academy, Rufus is the handyman employed at her Grandmother’s Victorian house, where Ellowyne lives.
Always cheerful and at the same time a little shy, Rufus harbors a secret pain – he loves Ellowyne with all of his heart, but so far, his love has gone unrequited. He writes her endless poems that express his deepest feelings, but somehow never get sent. AMBER STANHOPE

Amber Stanhope is Ellowyne's best frenemy!  Mysteriously, Amber is another friend born on the same day as Ellowyne and Prudence, under the same mysterious circumstances. Amber's parents were friends with Ellowyne's parents - her father was actually Ellowyne's boss - so they've known each other, well, forever - much to Ellowyne's dismay. Amber acts very cool and confident, and doesn't have time to put up with Ellowyne's chronic ennui. Dr. Bantam suspects its just an act. She's always trying to cause trouble, like the time she kissed Rufus in front of Ellowyne and everyone, but every once in a while she can be really nice.  I guess that's what a frenemy is...Ellowyne is still trying to figure it all out...

LIZETTE DIONNE

Lizette Dionne is a southern girlwith lots of charm, and very little drama. She recently moved to San Francisco with her parents Julian and Sasha and is about to meet some new friends. With painted brown eyes, and a beautiful spice skin tone, she's Ellowyne's newest friend - straight from New Orleans!  She and Ellowyne are destined to be friends when they find out they both see Dr. Bantam - for different reasons, of course - but she has the same therapy - journal writing. And wait until everyone finds out the date of Lizette's birthday!
